Côte D’Azur, France
Very few places in the world are associated with chic and elegance like the South of France. From the blues of the Mediterranean Sea to the vineyards of Provence and everything in between, the French Riviera is one of the most perfect places to enjoy a holiday or short break.
Saint-Tropez
Perhaps the jewel in the crown of the region, and home to the world’s most elegant Superyachts during the summer season, Saint-Tropez has evolved from its roots as a military stronghold and fishing village to become a go-to destination for many throughout the year. Fashion boutiques line the streets down by the marina, as well as local and global restaurant institutions, serving exquisite cuisine.
Beach Clubs
Many visitors choose to spend mornings by the beach or pool before decanting to the restaurants for a long, wine-fuelled lunch before the music is turned louder and the parties begin towards the end of the afternoon. Typically, these will be very busy during the summer months, so booking ahead is always advised. We recommend Shellona (Saint-Tropez), La Guerite (Cannes) and Gigi (Ramatuelle).
Wine
Being the origin of the finest wines of the world bar none, the Riviera region is best known for its splendid Côtes du Provence rose, which is paired excellently with sunshine. Some of the most globally recognised wine houses have their vineyards close to Saint-Tropez, including Château Minuty and Château Saint-Maur, both of which we recommend visiting for tastings and tours.
Golf
Despite not being renowned for being a golfing destination, the region is still home to some excellent golf courses; Vidauban is extremely well regarded and located around an hour northwest of Saint-Tropez and thirty minutes from Grimaud. Equally, Terre Blanche Resort is rated seventh in France, 26th in Europe and is approximately 45 minutes from Cannes.
